Job Title: Agile Coach
Location: Minneapolis (55402) preferred, open to NY (10036) and Charlotte (28202)
HYBRID: 3 DAYS PER WEEK ON SITE REQUIRED
WORKING HOURS: 8-5pm depending on time zone, some early hours for offshore overlap but those can be done remotely
Duration: 6 Months contract, FTE CONVERSION POSSIBLE,

Role Summary

The Agilist serves as a delivery leader responsible for driving planning, execution, and operational excellence across one or more CLM initiative / line-of-business product teams. This role partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure teams deliver commitments predictably, manage dependencies effectively, and continuously improve delivery outcomes.

The Agilist is accountable for facilitating quarterly and sprint planning processes, monitoring execution against plans, proactively managing risks and dependencies, ensuring adherence to delivery standards and governance requirements, and establishing consistent ways of working across teams. The role combines delivery management, cross-functional coordination, operational rigor, and continuous improvement to help teams deliver customer and business value.

Essential Functions

Delivery Planning & Execution

Lead quarterly planning, release planning, and sprint planning activities across assigned teams.

Drive alignment between strategy, roadmap, team capacity, and execution plans.

Monitor progress against commitments and proactively identify delivery risks, issues, blockers, and dependencies.

Facilitate timely decision-making and escalation to ensure delivery objectives are achieved.

Establish and maintain delivery transparency through reporting, metrics, forecasts, and stakeholder communications.

Coordinate releases and major milestones across multiple teams, applications, and business initiatives.

Dependency & Cross-Team Coordination

Own dependency management processes across product, engineering, operations, vendor, and business teams.

Identify upstream and downstream impacts of planned work and coordinate resolution of delivery constraints.

Facilitate cross-team planning forums, Scrum of Scrums, and dependency reviews.

Build strong partnerships across stakeholders to remove obstacles and improve execution effectiveness.

Operational Excellence & Consistency

Define, implement, and continuously improve standard delivery practices, routines, artifacts, and governance processes.

Ensure consistent execution of planning, estimation, backlog readiness, sprint management, release management, and status reporting practices across teams.

Promote disciplined use of delivery tools including Jira, Confluence, Dragonboat, and related platforms.

Establish measurable delivery objectives and leverage metrics to improve predictability, throughput, cycle time, quality, and team effectiveness.

Ensure compliance with SDLC, risk, audit, and governance requirements.

Continuous Improvement

Evaluate team delivery performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and flow.

Use delivery data and team metrics to drive informed decision-making and operational improvements.

Facilitate retrospectives and improvement initiatives focused on measurable outcomes.

Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to improve portfolio health and execution maturity.

Leadership & Team Enablement

Serve as a trusted partner to Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and business leaders.

Coach teams on delivery practices, planning rigor, dependency management, and execution excellence.

Support adoption of consistent Agile and Product operating practices across teams.

Foster accountability, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
