Summary:

  • Work Mode: Remote, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product Managers to decompose Program Epic work requirements and priorities into features.
  • Create detailed user stories for defined features.
  • Full accountability for execution of assigned user stories and associated products/deliverables. Participate in and support development, testing, and production support teams.
  • Engage with Scrum Master and team members regularly to ensure assigned features are fully executed within the prescribed Program Increment. Conduct necessary Product Owner ceremonies (PI Planning, Grooming, Demo, etc.) and partner with other Product Owners.
  • Engage System Architects for design solution discussions and understanding potential impacts.
  • Lead prioritization of work for delivery team based on business value and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage user story descriptions and acceptance criteria accurately.
  • Escalate risks to Product Manager when necessary.
  • Disciplined with scope management; collaborate with other product owners to assess changes for feasibility and impacts on commitments.
  • Negotiate and manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved.
  • Foster an environment of trust, collaboration, and openness among peers and team members. Share lessons learned and best practices for continuous process improvement.
  • Propose recommendations and adjustments to project delivery and related solutions throughout the initiative's lifecycle.
  • Communicate clearly with all levels of stakeholders to ensure deliverables are met. Articulate tradeoffs and impacts with the big picture in mind to enable strategic and tactical decision-making and risk mitigation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Science and Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of technology project experience is required.
  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity.
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization effectively.
  • Proven ability to present and communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally.
  • Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.
  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple IT disciplines including software designs and architecture patterns, quality assurance methods, requirement gathering, business process engineering, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred.
  • Experience in Client Readiness and Enrollment domains within Group Insurance is a plus.
