The ARNP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:
Performs physical examinations of hospital patients including, but not limited to: new patient visits, pre & post-operative care, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding and discharging of patients per hospital protocol
Provides assistance during procedures when requested
Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc
Monitors the patients course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.
Strong communication skills
Ability to handle a high volume of patients in an inpatient setting
Position requires a 7 on/7 off work schedule with daily hours for Nocturnist shift TBD
Candidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen

Required Education/Experience:
Masters degree in Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies
Preferred Education/Experience:
Previous Internal Medicine or Hospitalist experience is required 1 -2 years
Prefer 2 years of inpatient based medicine, preferably in Internal Medicine
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license (or eligibility) required
Current, valid DEA license
ANCC (or equivalent) or PANCE Certification (or eligibility) required
