Full-Time Opportunity for an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The APRN/PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:
• Performs physical examinations of surgical patients including, but not limited to: new patient visits, established/follow-up visits, pre & post-operative care. • OR assist allowed within scope of practice. • Hospital rounding patient education, discharge summaries. • Responsibilities in clinic include but are not limited to: Management and closure of complex lacerations, wound care/dressing changes, debridement, suture removal, etc. • Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, other related imaging. • Monitors the patient's course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed. • Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff. • Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth. • Evaluate cardiac, renal, vascular, dermatologic, and GI systems, particularly as they relate to body edema. • Interest in lymphatic care - training will be provided.

Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm out-patient Main location: AdventHealth Winter Park
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients. Strong communication skills Strong medical decision-making skills
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies Surgical experience (preferred Minimum 5 years of experience practicing as an APRN or PA-C in plastic surgery Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION:
Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license Current, valid DEA license Certification by NCCPA, ANCC or other nationally recognized certification organization BLS & ACLS
