Job Title : AI Agent Architecture / Agent-to-Agent Protocol Specialist
Location: Charlotte, NC (Highly Preferred) / Minneapolis, MN / Dallas, TX / Phoenix, AZ / Des Moines, IA
Hybrid; business requirements 3 days in office / 2 days remote

Duration: 6 9 months, with duration dependent on business need, funding, and performance.
Potential for Extension or Conversion to FTE based on business need, budget availability, and performance. Conversion to FTE is not guaranteed.

Reason for Request
The business requires a contractor with specialized experience in AI architecture, agent-to-agent protocols, agentic design patterns, prompt engineering, and applied GenAI solution development. This role will support the continued maturity of advanced AI capabilities, including exploration and design of agent-based workflows, prompt orchestration patterns, AI solution architecture, and reusable approaches for business adoption.
The contractor will help evaluate emerging AI patterns, support architecture and design decisions, contribute to prompt and agent solution standards, and partner with product and engineering teams to develop scalable, governed, and value-added AI capabilities.

Job Description
We are seeking an AI Agent Architecture / Agent-to-Agent Protocol Specialist contractor to support design and delivery of advanced AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with AI architecture, agent-to-agent protocols, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, prompt evaluation, orchestration patterns, and enterprise GenAI solution design.
This role will partner with product, architecture, engineering, and business teams to define scalable AI solution patterns and support development of governed agent and prompt capabilities. The contractor should be comfortable working with ambiguity, translating business problems into AI-enabled solution designs, evaluating technical options, documenting patterns, and helping teams design safe, reusable, and measurable AI capabilities.

1. Experience with AI architecture, agentic AI design patterns, and agent-to-agent protocol concepts.
2. Strong prompt engineering and prompt evaluation expertise, including designing prompts for reliability, consistency, and business usability.
3. Experience designing AI-enabled workflows, orchestration patterns, and reusable solution components.
4. Ability to partner with product, architecture, engineering, governance, and business teams to translate use cases into scalable AI designs.
5. Strong understanding of responsible AI, enterprise governance, controls, data protection, and operational risk considerations for GenAI solutions.

1. Experience with Copilot Studio, Azure AI, OpenAI-based platforms, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or comparable agent / orchestration frameworks.

3. Experience defining reusable AI design patterns, evaluation frameworks, value tracking, and adoption playbooks.

Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, AI/ML, information systems, business, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. Relevant AI, cloud, architecture, or technology certifications are helpful but not required.

Short Business Justification
These two contractor roles support near-term delivery and scaling needs across workflow automation and advanced AI capabilities. The Pega Configurator / Developer will provide hands-on configuration and delivery capacity for Pega-based workflow solutions.
The AI Agent Architecture / Agent-to-Agent Protocol Specialist will support the evolution of agentic AI capabilities, reusable prompt and agent patterns, AI architecture standards, and value-added features that support broader adoption, operational efficiency, and governed business use.
