The client is seeking an experienced AI Analyst / Business Analyst to support enterprise artificial intelligence initiatives for a government environment. The ideal candidate will serve as the liaison between County departments, executive leadership, and technical teams to identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI-driven business solutions.
This role will focus on gathering business and technical requirements, conducting feasibility and data readiness assessments, documenting governance and compliance requirements, and developing KPIs to measure the effectiveness of AI initiatives. The candidate will work on projects involving AI-powered chatbots, document automation, predictive analytics, workflow orchestration, speech-to-text solutions, and data modernization efforts.
The position requires strong experience in business analysis, AI/ML technologies, data analytics, government compliance standards, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, documentation, and process modeling skills, along with the ability to translate business needs into actionable AI solution requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct business process assessments to identify opportunities for AI, automation, and operational modernization.
Gather and document functional and technical requirements for AI and analytics solutions.
Develop AI use case intake forms, feasibility studies, and risk assessments aligned with NIST AI RMF standards.
Perform data readiness assessments for structured and unstructured data environments.
Define and track KPIs including accuracy, ROI, turnaround time, adoption, and operational efficiency.
Analyze regulatory and compliance impacts related to FedRAMP, CJIS, HIPAA, FOIA, and WCAG standards.
Support procurement activities, vendor evaluations, and technical proposal reviews.
Prepare workflow diagrams, business process models, and implementation roadmaps.
Collaborate with AI engineers, consultants, and technical teams to validate requirements and acceptance criteria.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops, executive presentations, and training sessions.
Required Skills:
5%2B years of experience as a Business Analyst, AI Analyst, or Data Analyst.
Strong experience with AI/ML technologies, analytics platforms, and business intelligence tools.
Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
Knowledge of government operations and regulatory compliance frameworks.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Jira, and Microsoft Visio.
Experience with process modeling, workflow analysis, and business case development.
Understanding of AI governance, data readiness, and responsible AI principles.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting AI initiatives such as RAG chatbots, predictive analytics, and automation solutions preferred.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field.
AI, Business Analysis, or Data Analytics certifications preferred.
Knowledge of NIST AI RMF framework preferred.
Experience with FedRAMP, CJIS, HIPAA, FOIA, and WCAG compliance standards preferred.
Experience working within government or public sector environments preferred.
