AI Automation & Business Systems Analyst

Position Summary

We are seeking an AI Automation & Business Systems Analyst to help drive AI, automation, and business systems initiatives across the organization. This role will partner with business and technology teams to identify process improvement opportunities, support AI-enabled solutions, and help transform business ideas into practical technology solutions.

The ideal candidate is naturally curious about AI, enjoys solving business problems, and thrives in environments where they can rapidly learn new technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This is a hands-on role focused on business process discovery, AI-enabled workflow development, testing, implementation, user adoption, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Automation Initiatives

• Support the design, development, testing, and implementation of AI-powered business solutions.
• Assist in building and improving AI agents that automate or enhance business processes.
• Help move projects from concept through prototype, testing, deployment, and adoption.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation and AI.

Business Process Analysis

• Meet with departments to understand current workflows and operational challenges.
• Analyze business processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and improve user experience.

AI Agent Development

• Assist with designing AI agent workflows, including:
  • Required inputs and outputs
  • Decision logic
  • Human approval processes
  • Exception handling
• Support AI applications such as:
  • Document processing
  • Classification
  • Summarization
  • Workflow automation
  • Decision support
• Document AI functionality, limitations, business rules, and governance requirements.
• Maintain a backlog of AI enhancement opportunities and implementation priorities.

Business Systems Support

• Gather business requirements for system enhancements.
• Coordinate user testing and document feedback.
• Assist with feature validation and implementation.
• Track enhancement requests and support user adoption of new functionality.

Data & Reporting

• Validate system outputs and business data.
• Support reporting initiatives and dashboard development.
• Create and execute test plans for new functionality.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Measure business impact and process improvement outcomes.

Documentation & Governance

• Create process documentation, user guides, workflows, and training materials.
• Maintain documentation for AI solutions, automation initiatives, and business processes.
• Ensure solutions align with security, data privacy, and governance standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
• Experience gathering business requirements and documenting workflows.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience validating data, testing system functionality, and supporting software implementations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using AI tools in a professional or personal setting.
• Background in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or Process Improvement.
• Experience supporting automation, workflow optimization, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI.
• Experience working with ERP, CRM, or enterprise business systems.
• Exposure to Agile project delivery or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
