AI Developer — Enterprise Data & Intelligent Automation
100% Remote
About the Role
We are seeking an AI Developer to help build the next generation of intelligent unstructured data management and intelligent document processing (IDP) solutions. You will have a voice throughout the full development lifecycle — from concept through deployment — of cloud-native systems that securely manage, process, and enable unstructured data at enterprise scale.
This is a strategic technical role combining AI engineering, backend development, and enterprise data architecture. You will work with AWS (Bedrock, S3, compute), Snowflake, vector databases, agentic AI frameworks (Agent Core, LangGraph, MCP), agent-to-agent (A2A) integration patterns, and workflow orchestration platforms to deliver transformative capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop AI-Enabled IDP Solutions: Build intelligent document processing pipelines that extract, classify, and enrich unstructured data using modern AI/ML approaches
- Cloud Architecture & Implementation: Design and implement scalable, secure solutions on AWS (S3, compute, networking), Snowflake data platforms, and vector database infrastructure
- Agentic AI & Automation: Develop and integrate autonomous agents using frameworks like Agent Core, LangGraph, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to process and route enterprise data with minimal human intervention
- Agent-to-Agent (A2A) Integration: Build and implement A2A communication patterns enabling autonomous systems to coordinate and hand off work across the enterprise
- Workflow Orchestration: Design, build, and operate complex, production-grade workflows using orchestration frameworks (e.g., Step Functions, Airflow, Temporal); ensure reliability, auditability, and compliance
- Vector Database Implementation: Architect and implement vector database solutions to support semantic search, RAG pipelines, and embeddings-based retrieval at scale
- Backend & Service Development: Build synchronous and asynchronous services, APIs, and microservices supporting document ingestion, processing, and downstream consumption
- Data Governance & Security: Apply data management principles — cataloging, lineage, retention, data protection — with healthcare compliance (HIPAA) and security as a foundational requirement
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions; mentor junior engineers
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML development or data engineering in production environments
- Hands-on experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch, pgvector, or similar) supporting RAG or semantic search use cases
- Direct, production experience with A2A (agent-to-agent) frameworks/patterns
- Proven experience with workflow orchestration tools (AWS Step Functions, Apache Airflow, Temporal, or equivalent) in production
- Working experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) for connecting agents/tools to data and services
- Hands-on experience with Agent Core or equivalent agentic AI framework
- Direct experience with AWS Bedrock for foundation model deployment/integration
- Hands-on experience with AWS S3 and core AWS compute services
- Broader AWS platform proficiency (EC2, networking, security fundamentals)
- Production experience with Snowflake or an equivalent modern cloud data warehouse
- Proficiency in backend/service development: building scalable APIs, microservices, or event-driven systems
- AI/ML development experience: building, training, deploying, and operationalizing AI models; working knowledge of LLMs, foundation models, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures
- Enterprise software practices: CI/CD, testing, code review, security best practices, and regulatory compliance (healthcare experience a strong plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with intelligent document processing (IDP), OCR, ICR, NLP, or information extraction
- Experience with LangGraph or similar agent orchestration frameworks
- Prompt engineering and RAG for domain-specific applications
- Healthcare industry background
- Contributions to unstructured data and AI projects
- Advanced degree (BS/MS) in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Experience across multiple domains (healthcare, financial services, etc.)
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodology
Required Work Experience: 5 years related work experience; professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry
Required Education: Related Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
