Role Overview

TURNBRIDGE is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to design, build, and scale backend platforms that power Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions. This is a senior individual contributor role for a highly skilled software engineer who thrives in complex, cloud-native environments and enjoys shaping architecture, engineering standards, and delivery quality.

In this role, you’ll take a hands-on approach to building production-grade systems that integrate large language models (LLMs), real-time data pipelines, distributed processing frameworks, and modern API architectures. You’ll collaborate closely with technical leads and product partners while serving as a trusted technical voice across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that support Agentic AI and Generative AI use cases
• Partner with technical leads and product owners to translate business and technical requirements into well-designed implementations
• Develop robust, high-performance APIs using modern Python frameworks and API technologies
• Build and integrate real-time and batch data pipelines using streaming and distributed processing platforms
• Contribute to system and platform architecture with a focus on scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Troubleshoot complex development and production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions
• Establish and promote engineering best practices across system design, testing, deployment, observability, and operational support
• Support CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment strategies to enable reliable and efficient software delivery

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong software engineering background with extensive hands-on experience delivering production-grade applications
• Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with at least one major web framework
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs (FastAPI) and GraphQL APIs (Strawberry) with a strong understanding of API and service design principles
• Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka or Azure Event Hubs for real-time data processing
• Strong experience designing and managing multiple database technologies, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Experience with big data and distributed processing frameworks such as Spark and Delta Lake
• Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering and machine learning workflows
• Experience integrating with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Llama, or similar Generative AI models)
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, and solution design, with an emphasis on Microsoft Azure
• Experience deploying and managing applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Experience designing systems that handle high concurrency using async patterns, multi-threading, multi-processing, or actor-based models
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LangChain or similar frameworks for LLM integration and agentic workflows
• Familiarity with Agentic AI patterns, including orchestration, tool usage, multi-step workflows, memory/context management, and evaluation
• Full-stack development experience
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and performance tuning in cloud-native environments
• Telecommunications industry experience or other relevant domain expertise
