AI Governance Lead

Location: Toronto (Hybrid)
Term: 6-Month Contract

Our client is seeking an AI Governance Advisor to help establish and mature enterprise AI governance practices, ensuring the responsible adoption of AI across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance AI governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls
  • Conduct AI risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Support implementation of AI governance operating models and oversight processes
  • Partner with Risk, Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, Compliance, and Technology teams
  • Ensure alignment with evolving AI regulations and industry standards
  • Drive responsible AI practices across the organization

Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in AI Governance, Data Governance, Technology Risk, Compliance, or a related field
  • Experience developing governance frameworks, policies, and controls
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and associated risks
  • Experience conducting risk assessments in complex technology environments

Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, OECD AI Principles, or the EU AI Act
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries
