Job Summary
Serve as an AI Governance Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for establishing and implementing governance practices for the responsible, secure, compliant, and effective use of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI within enterprise IT environments. Provide expertise in AI governance, risk management, responsible AI, data protection, model oversight, and compliance while collaborating with business, technology, cybersecurity, data, architecture, and program leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI governance frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
• Evaluate AI/Generative AI use cases for business value, technical feasibility, security, privacy, compliance, and operational risk.
• Establish AI risk assessment, model oversight, documentation, monitoring, and lifecycle management processes.
• Provide guidance on Responsible AI, transparency, explainability, accountability, bias, data quality, and human oversight.
• Assess AI technologies, platforms, models, and vendors for secure and compliant adoption.
• Support governance of Pega AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation, and AI-enabled decisioning/workflows.
• Define AI requirements for data protection, access controls, auditability, and security.
• Conduct AI governance reviews throughout the solution lifecycle from use-case identification through production and ongoing operations.
• Prepare governance assessments, inventories, reports, and executive-level briefings on AI risks, compliance, and adoption.
• Monitor emerging AI technologies, standards, regulations, and risks and recommend governance updates.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in AI, technology governance, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, risk management, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience developing or implementing AI governance, risk, compliance, or Responsible AI frameworks.
• Experience evaluating AI/Generative AI use cases, models, platforms, or vendors.
• Knowledge of AI lifecycle management, model risk, data governance, privacy, security, transparency, explainability, and responsible AI principles.
• Experience working with cross-functional business, technology, cybersecurity, data, legal/privacy, and program teams.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience supporting Federal Government or other highly regulated environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with Pega AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation, or AI-enabled decisioning is preferred.

Compensation:
The expected compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $200,000 annually. Compensation is determined in good faith and may vary based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, clearance level, labor category alignment, contract requirements, work location, internal equity, and business needs.
The posted range reflects the Sky's reasonable estimate at the time of posting and does not guarantee a specific salary or rate. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications and applicable contractual and business considerations.
