The Role
Avenue Z is hiring an AI GTM Engineer to build our outbound revenue engine from scratch. This is not an operations or internal automation role. You will design and deploy automated systems that generate pipeline, book meetings, and drive revenue.
The first phase is internal. You will build, test, and optimize Avenue Z’s own go-to-market machine using AI-powered enrichment, signal-based outreach, automated sequencing, and CRM automation. Once the playbook is proven with our own pipeline data, you will help package it as a client-facing service line.
This is a builder role that sits at the intersection of revenue operations, automation engineering, and digital marketing. You should be comfortable moving from ICP definition to enrichment logic to sequence design to CRM routing to performance analysis, and you should be able to ship working systems fast.
What You Will Build
Outbound Revenue Engine
- Design and deploy automated outbound systems that generate qualified pipeline for Avenue Z’s services business.
- Build enrichment workflows that identify, score, and prioritize target accounts and contacts using firmographic, technographic, and intent signals.
- Create multi-channel sequencing (email, LinkedIn, other channels) with AI-personalized messaging, automated follow-ups, and human handoff triggers.
- Set up and manage deliverability infrastructure including domain warming, inbox rotation, and sender reputation monitoring.
- Build lead scoring and routing logic that moves qualified prospects into the right sales workflows automatically.
GTM Automation and AI Systems
- Identify high-value, repetitive GTM work across PR, SEO, content, paid media, reporting, and client delivery and turn it into automated workflows.
- Build AI agents and automations that improve throughput, reduce manual effort, and tighten execution across service lines.
- Translate business problems into practical systems using prompts, data inputs, approval gates, routing logic, and human review steps.
- Partner with team leads to improve execution speed, reporting quality, handoffs, and operational visibility.
Measurement and Iteration
- Own pipeline metrics end to end: leads generated, meetings booked, conversion rates, cost per meeting, pipeline dollars created.
- Document every system you build, drive internal adoption, and improve workflows based on performance data.
- Connect automation work to measurable business outcomes including pipeline generated, time saved, capacity created, and revenue supported.
Core Tool Stack
You do not need to know every tool on this list, but you should have hands-on experience with most of them and be able to pick up new ones quickly.
- Enrichment and Data: Clay, Apollo, Clearbit, ZoomInfo, or equivalent platforms for contact and account enrichment.
- Sequencing and Outreach: Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist, La Growth Machine, or equivalent multi-channel sequencing tools.
- Automation Platforms: n8n, Make, Zapier. Preference for n8n or Make due to flexibility and self-hosting options.
- AI and Agent Tools: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Glean, or similar. Comfortable writing and iterating on prompts for production use.
- CRM: HubSpot preferred. Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Data and Infrastructure: Working knowledge of APIs, webhooks, databases, Google Cloud Platform or AWS. Comfortable with spreadsheets and basic SQL.
Who You Are
- 2-5 years in GTM engineering, revenue operations, growth engineering, marketing operations, or a similarly execution-heavy role where you built systems that directly generated pipeline or revenue.
- Strong understanding of outbound sales mechanics: ICP definition, enrichment, signal-based targeting, sequencing, deliverability, and conversion optimization.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and advertising tactics across PR, SEO, content, paid media, and ecommerce.
- Proven ability to ship working automated systems quickly. You have a portfolio or can walk through systems you have built.
- Comfortable gathering requirements from senior stakeholders, managing ambiguity, and making decisions without waiting for perfect information.
- Clear communicator in writing and verbally with senior executives. You can explain what you built, why it matters, and what it produced.
- High agency, sound judgment, and a bias toward action. You do not wait to be told what to build.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 Days
- Avenue Z’s ICP is defined with enrichment criteria documented.
- Initial enrichment and sequencing infrastructure is stood up and sending.
- First outbound sequences are live with deliverability monitoring in place.
First 90 Days
- Outbound engine is generating qualified meetings consistently.
- Pipeline dollars attributed to automated outbound are tracked and growing.
- At least two internal GTM automations are shipped and adopted by service line teams.
- Performance data supports a clear case for or against packaging GTM Engineering as a client service.
First 6 Months
- Avenue Z’s outbound playbook is documented, tested, and producing measurable revenue support.
- GTM Engineering is positioned as a repeatable service offering with internal proof points.
- Strong internal adoption of automation workflows across at least three service lines.
Why This Role Matters
Avenue Z is a tech-enabled services business that is building its own revenue engine with AI and automation at the center. This role is not support. You are building the system that drives new business for the company, and if it works, you will own the playbook that becomes a new service line for our clients.
You will report directly to the CTO and work alongside a small, high-output AI transformation team. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on the company’s growth trajectory.
Location Requirement
This is a Miami in-office role. Candidates must be based in the Miami area. We are not considering remote candidates for this position.
