AI Intern | 2027 Summer Internship Program

Verisk's 2027 Summer Internship Program is designed to provide you with meaningful real-world experience, professional development, and networking opportunities. Recognized as a Top 100 Internship Program by Yello and WayUp , our program empowers interns to make a tangible impact while learning from industry experts and building connections across the organization.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week), paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2027. Participation in the program requires that you are located near your assigned office, as our hybrid work schedule requires interns to work in the office at least 3 days per week throughout the summer.

Should you be invited back after your internship, you will have the opportunity to join a premier full-time program, the AI Excellence Program. This program combines real business impact from day one with a 12-month structured journey to accelerate AI capabilities. This is not a traditional entry-level program-it's a launchpad for careers in AI-powered innovation, where you will collaborate across functions, influence real decisions, and accelerate your growth in a global organization.

As an AI Intern, you will work at the intersection of business, technology, and data, applying AI to solve enterprise-wide challenges and drive measurable impact.

Recruitment Process:

We want to get to know YOU. Once you apply, our team will review your application. Successful candidates will be invited to a two-stage interview process including:

1. AI Project Portfolio: Should your resume get selected, you will be asked to submit a ZIP file containing examples of projects, coursework, research, or other work where you leveraged artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, or related technologies. The zip file should be saved as "first initial.last name_AI portfolio" (ex: a.smith_AI portfolio).
2. Digital Interview: Our team is keen to get to know you. You'll be introduced to several members of our team as they share their experiences about life at Verisk. We will ask you a series of questions in order to learn about what drives you and your career interests and aspirations - this is your opportunity to make yourself stand out from the pack. This is also a great way for you to meet several of our employees outside of a traditional 1:1 interview.
3. Recruiter Screening Call: During this round, you'll connect with a member of our campus recruiting team for a brief conversation. We'll review your background, discuss your interests and goals, and share more about the Summer Internship Program. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask questions and learn more about what it's like to start your career at Verisk.
4. Final Live Virtual Interview: This round is to determine if Verisk's culture is right for you. You'll have the opportunity to speak with several members of our actuarial recruitment committee.
5. Offer: Our committee will meet and discuss your candidacy. Should you be extended an offer, we will advise you of the business and location where your internship will take place.

• Use AI and data-driven insights to solve real business challenges that impact customers, operations, and strategy across the enterprise.
• Develop cutting-edge AI skills while learning how leading organizations use technology to solve complex business problems.
• Collaborate with teams across technology, product, analytics, HR, and finance in AI Labs where you work to automate processes and solve business problems
• You'll have opportunities to experiment with emerging AI technologies, build future-ready skills, and learn from experts across the organization.
• Help shape how AI transforms the future of work while solving challenges that improve how employees and customers experience our business
• Complete learning and development sessions, attend networking events, and showcase successes with leadership at key events.

• Enrolled in a bachelors or masters program.
• Must be graduating in December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Must be available to begin the internship program on June 2, 2027, and participate in the full 10-week program.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude in everyday work, projects, or learning
• Experience using AI beyond basic prompting (e.g., workflows, automations, or applied use cases)
• Exposure to tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar
• Prior experience utilizing data, technology, or AI to solve a problem
• Ability to use AI to support problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvement
• Comfort working with data. This includes analyzing information, spotting trends, and building simple dashboards or reports
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to collaborate across teams and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, self-driven mindset with a willingness to experiment and continuously learn

The Intern Program is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. If you will require work visa sponsorship (e.g. H1-B following CPT/OPT) after completing your degree, you do not meet the basic requirements of the summer intern role.
