AI Platform Engineer (Contract)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Platform Engineer (Contract) to help design, build, and enhance enterprise AI platform capabilities that enable scalable, secure, and governed AI/ML solutions. This role will work closely with Platform Architects, Principal Engineers, Security, Cloud, and Product teams to develop reusable platform services, automation frameworks, and operational standards that accelerate the adoption of Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in AI platform engineering, cloud-native development, automation, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and enterprise software development using Java and Python.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AI platform components.
• Build reusable automation frameworks, accelerators, SDKs, and platform services for AI application development.
• Develop enterprise AI integration frameworks, including:
  • Model Context Protocol (MCP)
  • Agent-to-Agent (A2A) Communication
  • AI Agent Orchestration
  • Workflow Automation
• Build CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for AI platform deployments.
• Implement platform observability, monitoring, logging, and operational automation.
• Develop testing, validation, governance, and certification frameworks to support Responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Product teams to ensure enterprise compliance and scalability.
• Support AI platform modernization initiatives and contribute to architecture and technology roadmaps.
• Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
• Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer to internal engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize AI platform performance, reliability, and scalability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering or platform engineering experience.
• Strong experience building enterprise platform solutions.
