AI Platform Engineer

Must Have: experience in Conversational AI implementations. heavy with NLP solutions ChatBot Voice to Text etc. Need software engineers
The short version: A senior platform engineer who can design the infrastructure that makes AI systems reliable, scalable, and compliant and who wants to grow into a technical leadership role.
You'll build the foundational platform that the entire AI pod operates on. This means orchestration, integrations, guardrails, observability, and data pipelines all built to HIPAA-compliant standards and designed to scale as the program grows.
This role has a clear growth path: as the organization scales from one pod to multiple, this person is expected to grow into a Pod Lead.
What you'll be doing:- Designing and building infrastructure for conversational AI, agentic workflows, and real-time systems (including call center integrations)
- Building and managing orchestration layers for multi-step AI workflows including retry handling, state management, and async/event-driven processing
- Implementing system-level guardrails: rate limiting, circuit breakers, secure execution environments, input/output validation
- Building and maintaining observability stacks: logging, monitoring, and alerting across AI interactions and workflows
- Supporting RAG data pipelines and managing infrastructure for vector databases and retrieval systems
- Working with platforms like Kore.ai where appropriate, while maintaining the ability to build custom solutions when needed
- Mentoring and upskilling existing engineers this is a genuine expectation, not an afterthought
What we're looking for:- Strong backend or platform engineering background with production distributed systems experience
- Experience with API/microservices design, workflow orchestration, and async/event-driven architecture
- Python or Java proficiency; Azure preferred
- Experience in healthcare or other regulated environments with HIPAA familiarity
- Someone who thinks in systems, not components and who wants to lead a team over time
