Piper Companies is seeking an AI Platform Operations Engineer to join an enterprise technology organization supporting large-scale AI and Microsoft productivity platforms. The AI Platform Operations Engineer will own platform performance, governance, and operational excellence for enterprise AI tools including Copilot, Claude, and similar solutions. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite in Raleigh, NC or alternative locations in Tampa, FL; Bridgewater, NJ; or New York, NY. Must be authorized to work in the United States.ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day operations of enterprise AI platforms including monitoring, incident resolution, and escalationsOversee governance including licensing, provisioning, access management, and complianceSupport change management and coordinate vendor-driven feature rolloutsBuild automation workflows using PowerShell, Power Automate, or similar toolsCreate and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and architecture diagramsPartner with IT, security, and business teams to ensure platform reliability and scalabilityOwn issue escalation workflows and act as a primary point of contact for platform supportContinuously improve operational processes and platform performanceRequirements8+ years of experience in IT operations, platform administration, or cloud environmentsStrong experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platformsProven background in incident, problem, and change managementExperience administering enterprise platforms including Microsoft365 tenantsExperience with AI platforms or tools such as Copilot, Claude, or similar technologiesExperience with platform administration, governance, or tenant administrationProficiency with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Power PlatformExperience with governance, compliance, access management, and licensingAbility to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesMust be authorized to work in the United StatesCompensationSalary range: $160,000 to $175,600, depending on experienceEligible for annual bonus and additional incentivesFull benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and PTOThis job opens for applications on June1st,2026.
