AI Project Manager for a
contract assignment with one of our premier
Insurance services clients. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring
3 days onsite in either
New York, NY (Hudson Yards) or Stamford, CT.
We are seeking an experienced AI Project Manager to lead enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation initiatives. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of AI programs, partner closely with executive leadership, and help scale AI solutions from proof of concept through enterprise adoption. This role will partner with business leaders, technology teams, data scientists, AI engineers, and governance functions to deliver scalable AI solutions that drive measurable business value while meeting enterprise risk, compliance, and operational standards. The ideal candidate has successfully managed enterprise AI programs from ideation through implementation and is passionate about helping organizations transform through emerging technologies.
Responsibilities :
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AI, Generative AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation initiatives across the enterprise.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
- Oversee multiple concurrent AI initiatives while ensuring alignment with business priorities and strategic objectives.
- Establish project governance, status reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and executive communications.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and evaluate AI use cases that deliver measurable business value.
- Lead AI initiatives from proof of concept (POC) through enterprise deployment and adoption while ensuring appropriate governance, stakeholder alignment, and business value realization.
- Translate business objectives into actionable project roadmaps, implementation plans, and technical requirements.
- Develop business cases, executive presentations, benefits realization plans, and success metrics.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to define AI opportunities, project scope, KPIs, and adoption strategies.
- Coordinate activities across business teams, AI engineers, data scientists, technology teams, vendors, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Information Security.
- Ensure AI initiatives comply with enterprise governance standards, privacy requirements, model risk management practices, and regulatory expectations.
- Develop stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and organizational change management plans to support AI adoption.
- Measure solution adoption, user satisfaction, business outcomes, and return on investment (ROI).
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and delivery obstacles while driving proactive resolution.
- Continuously improve AI delivery processes, governance, and portfolio management practices.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project or program management experience delivering complex enterprise initiatives.
- 2+ years managing enterprise AI, Generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, or digital transformation initiatives, including AI proof-of-concepts, production deployments, or enterprise adoption programs.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams across business and technology organizations.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Experience building executive presentations, business cases, and value realization frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage executive stakeholders and drive consensus across multiple business functions.
- Strong project planning, budgeting, risk management, portfolio management, and governance experience.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- PMP, PgMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, Agile, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with Generative AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of machine learning lifecycle management (MLOps) practices.
- Experience with AI governance, model risk management, responsible AI, privacy, and data governance.
- Experience within Insurance, Financial Services, Banking, Wealth Management, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with intelligent automation, process transformation, and enterprise AI adoption strategies.
