We're hiring an AI Security Architect to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with onsite work required Tuesday through Thursday.

Skills & Qualifications:
- 9 years of IT experience
- Preferred work experience: 10 years of related business and architecture experience
- Track record of successfully managing joint IS/Business teams through strategic challenges in meeting business objectives
- Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to build network and collaborative relationships throughout complex organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical approaches to all levels of non-technical and technical staff, management, and end users
- Able to lead dynamic, energized, and highly creative multidisciplinary work teams in a matrix environment to respond to company business needs
Key Responsibilities:- Supports the secure adoption of artificial intelligence across the organization by:
- Translating AI risk, security, privacy, and compliance requirements into practical architecture patterns, control requirements, and implementation guidance
- Partnering closely with Enterprise Architecture, I/S delivery teams, Data Governance, Privacy, IAM, Vendor Risk, CSOC, Legal, Compliance, Audit, and business owners to ensure AI solutions are designed, reviewed, monitored, and operated with appropriate safeguards
- Establish AI security architecture standards: Develop, maintain, and communicate enterprise AI security reference architectures, minimum control requirements, secure design patterns, and implementation guidance for approved AI tools, models, integrations, connectors, plugins, and AI-enabled applications
- Review AI use cases and solution designs: Perform architecture reviews for proposed AI solutions to validate data handling, access controls, encryption, logging, monitoring, retention, output handling, and integration safeguards before implementation.
- Lead AI threat modeling: Conduct threat-model reviews for priority AI use cases and vendors, with focus on prompt injection, data leakage, unauthorized access, model misuse, insecure connectors, machine identity exposure, and AI-enabled impersonation risks.
- Provide technical expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the organization's overall systems architecture
- Ensure business requirements are enabled using approved architecture concepts
- Provide consultative services to high-level clients for their set of applications
- Provide oversight to project teams to ensure technical risks and opportunities are considered and appropriately addressed in business initiatives and decisions
- Work closely with senior application development staff to ensure products meet analysis, design, and development standards for various operating environments
- Work with Design Architecture to set architectural direction for set of assigned applications
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering; OR
- 4 years of job-related work experience; OR
- 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering
- Preferred Licenses and Certificates: Completion of SACP and/or PMCP courses
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT with at least 9 years of experience. They should demonstrate excellent negotiation and decision-making skills, along with a proven ability to develop and release quality products on time. The candidate should be skilled in building collaborative relationships within complex organizations and have a deep understanding of current application or system development methodologies. Effective communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead multidisciplinary work teams. A thorough knowledge of technologies, architecture, and business practices is required.
The hourly rate for this position is $90.81.
