Overview We are seeking an experienced AI Administrative Specialist to lead and support the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), IT certification pathways, and workforce development initiatives within a learning environment. This role is designed for a candidate who brings practical, outcomes-driven experience in AI and IT certifications, workforce development, and educational administration without necessarily holding a traditional bachelors degree. The successful candidate will bridge policy, program design, and operations to advance student outcomes, staff capabilities, and institutional efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

AI Strategy and Program Oversight

  • Develop, implement, and monitor AI-enhanced programs and services that align with the institutions mission and strategic goals.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI tools and platforms (e.g., learning analytics, AI tutoring, content generation) with attention to accessibility, privacy, and ethics.
  • Coordinate governance for AI usage, including risk assessment, consent, data stewardship, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

IT Certification Pathways and Workforce Development

  • Design and manage non-traditional IT certification pathways and or hands on instructional interaction (e.g., CompTIA, AWS/Azure fundamentals, cybersecurity essentials) tailored to diverse student populations.
  • Build partnerships with local employers, industry groups, and credentialing bodies to ensure certifications are stackable, nationally recognized, and aligned with labor market demand.
  • Create apprenticeship or micro-credential programs that integrate hands-on lab work, real-world projects, and soft skills development.

Program Administration and Operations

  • Develop program budgets, grant applications, and resource allocation to sustain AI and IT credentialing initiatives.
  • Lead project management for program rollouts, including timeline development, milestone tracking, risk management, and performance reporting.
  • Manage a cross-functional team (instructional designers, career coaches, IT staff, and data analysts) to deliver high-quality services.

Data, Assessment, and Continuous Improvement

  • Establish data collection, analytics, and reporting systems to measure student outcomes, credential attainment, job placement, and program ROI.
  • Use AI-driven insights to inform instructional design, advising, and student support strategies while ensuring privacy and fairness.
  • Conduct regular program evaluations and implement iterative improvements based on feedback from students, staff, and industry partners.

Student Support and Advising

  • Provide or oversee career advising, resume/portfolio development, interview coaching, and job search assistance focused on AI and IT roles.
  • Support students in navigating non-traditional educational pathways, including prior learning assessment, stackable credentials, and flexible learning schedules.
  • Promote inclusive practices to ensure equitable access to AI and IT credentialing opportunities.

Compliance, Ethics, and Accessibility

  • Ensure programs comply with FERPA, data privacy standards, and higher education regulations.
  • Advocate for ethical AI use, bias mitigation, and transparent communication with students and staff.
  • Champion accessibility best practices (WCAG compliance, alternate formats, and assistive technologies).

Required Qualifications *BA Preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in AI applications within educational or workforce development contexts (e.g., AI-enabled tutoring, automation of administrative tasks, data-informed decision-making).
  • Strong background in IT certifications and credentialing pathways (e.g., CompTIA A+/Net+, Security+, AWS/Azure Fundamentals, Cisco CCNA, Cybersecurity essentials) and experience designing or coordinating IT credential programs.
  • Proven experience in workforce development initiatives, partnerships with industry, and placement or career services outcomes.
  • Track record of program administration or management in an education, training, or nonprofit setting.
  • Ability to work effectively without a traditional bachelors degree, demonstrated via:
  • Substantial professional experience relevant to the role
  • Certifications, micro-credentials, bootcamps, or recognized industry certificates
  • Documented project outcomes, portfolios, or performance metrics
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with data analytics, learning management systems (LMS), CRM, and productivity tools.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and accessibility in education and workforce programs.

> Note: In lieu of a bachelors degree, candidates should be able to present a robust portfolio of work, letters of reference from employers or partner organizations, and verifiable outcomes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with policy development for AI governance and data ethics.
  • Familiarity with grant writing and fundraising for education technology initiatives.
