Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The AI Strategy & Applications Intern will support the firm in identifying and evaluating practical applications of AI across the business. This role is focused on discovery, research, and light solutioning—translating business problems into AI-enabled opportunities and helping inform build vs. buy decisions. The intern will partner with internal teams to understand pain points, explore available tools, and recommend scalable, high-impact solutions.
· Partner with internal teams to identify workflow inefficiencies and opportunities for AI-enabled improvement
· Research and evaluate AI tools, platforms, and vendors; distinguish capabilities from market hype
· Conduct initial demos and testing of AI solutions to assess practical application
· Translate business needs into AI use cases and recommend actionable solutions
· Map workflows and propose lightweight implementation approaches
· Support early-stage implementation and adoption of selected tools
· Stay current on emerging AI trends and identify relevant applications for the business
· Contribute to build vs. buy decision-making through structured analysis and insights
· Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
· Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Completed undergraduate degree and currently enrolled in a graduate program
· Demonstrated interest or experience in applying AI tools to solve real-world problems (academic, internship, or personal projects)
· Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms
· Basic understanding of APIs, data flow, and SaaS tools preferred
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
· Preferred fields of study: Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, AI/Machine Learning, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or Decision Science
· Experience evaluating software or improving workflows/processes
· Experience in a consulting or professional services firm or a fast-paced, startup environment
