Description

Position SummaryThe Export Logistics Coordinator supports the execution of international shipping operations by partnering closely with the Export Logistics Manager and internal HAF teams to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely movement of global shipments. This role is responsible for coordinating assigned export shipments, delivering exceptional customer service, and escalating operational issues or exceptions when necessary.Key ResponsibilitiesManage assigned export shipments from origin to destination, ensuring a high level of customer service throughout the shipping process.Coordinate international transportation activities, including carrier selection, route planning, and communication with airlines and service providers to resolve shipment-related issues.Calculate shipment dimensions, volumetric weight, and measurements using both metric and imperial systems.Prepare shipping cost estimates and provide pricing information to management.Collaborate with internal departments, including Logistics, Warehousing, Customs, IT, and other cross-functional teams, to ensure smooth shipment execution.Obtain, maintain, and adhere to client-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Respond to customer inquiries, including billing-related questions, and escalate complex concerns to the Export Logistics Manager as appropriate.Monitor shipments, identify exceptions, and communicate issues proactively.Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.Qualifications & SkillsMinimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or a related field preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.Working knowledge of domestic and/or international shipping regulations preferred.Familiarity with hazardous materials (HAZMAT) handling requirements is a plus.Understanding of TSA regulations and security compliance requirements.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general business software.Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to perform effectively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.Positive attitude and strong problem-solving abilities.Education & CertificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.Industry-related certifications are a plus.
