Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Additional coursework or training in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management is a plus

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience in air export, freight forwarding, logistics, customer service, or quality control preferred
• Knowledge of air freight/export documentation and regulations preferred
• Experience with transportation or logistics systems is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Job Duties

• Review air export shipments for accuracy and completeness
• Verify commercial invoices, packing lists, airway bills, and other export documentation
• Ensure shipment information is accurately entered into internal systems
• Identify and correct documentation and data discrepancies
• Monitor shipments for compliance with customer requirements and company procedures
• Perform quality checks on export files before shipment departure
• Communicate with customers, carriers, operations teams, and internal departments to resolve issues
• Track and follow up on shipment exceptions, delays, and missing documentation
• Maintain accurate shipment records and properly document files
• Assist with customs, compliance, and operational issue resolution
• Meet productivity, accuracy, and quality standards
• Follow all company safety, security, and regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
• Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
• Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Air Export Quality Control Specialist.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
• Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
