Job Summary:

Candidates will work primarily in an office environment with opportunities to travel and offer worldwide engineering support. UPS Aircraft Engineers regularly interface with Boeing, Airbus, major engine manufacturers (such as GE, Rolls Royce, and Pratt and Whitney), various component manufacturers, repair & overhaul facilities, and other outside agencies.
A Level 1 Powerplant Engineer develops and implements safety, reliability, and airworthiness policies, standards, and procedures for the UPS Air Fleet. The position requires experience with aircraft large commercial gas turbine engines, federal regulations, development of modifications/repairs, project planning and project management. Engineers ensure engineering practices and procedures comply with government aviation regulations, and develop cost-effective policies, standards, and recommendations that meet company aircraft specifications and cooperates with aircraft manufacturers to increase airframe and component dependability and reduce maintenance costs.
