    Description

    Tank Tigers, an STS Aviation Group Company, is hiring an entry-level Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) in Wilmington, Ohio.

    This position is designed for candidates with zero to two years of aviation fuel maintenance experience who are ready to build hands-on aircraft maintenance skills within a Part 145 repair station environment.

    The Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician performs fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks under appropriate direction using approved maintenance data and established company procedures.

    Position Overview

    The Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) is an entry-level technical position reporting to the Facility Supervisor and/or Facility Manager.

    Class C Technicians perform assigned aircraft fuel tank maintenance activities but are not assigned management, supervisory or inspection responsibilities. This position does not have authorization to approve maintained or altered articles for return to service and is not required to hold certification under 14 CFR Part 65.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform assigned aircraft fuel tank maintenance tasks
    • Complete preventive maintenance and alteration work as directed
    • Follow applicable maintenance manuals and approved maintenance data
    • Ensure completed or partially completed maintenance work is properly signed off
    • Perform maintenance activities in the appropriate sequence
    • Request required inspections in an orderly and timely manner
    • Follow applicable customer requirements
    • Ensure test equipment and tools used for airworthiness determinations are properly labeled and current
    • Request stock and materials required for assigned work
    • Record completed work on the appropriate maintenance records
    • Complete required supporting paperwork
    • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
    • Maintain awareness of applicable FAR Parts 43 and 145
    • Become familiar with the company Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual
    • Maintain awareness of revisions to applicable company manuals
    • Record on-the-job training for assigned tasks
    • Immediately report procedures, practices or conditions that could lead to injury, inefficiency or unairworthy conditions
    • Follow all established safety, quality and maintenance procedures

    Qualifications

    • Entry-level position requiring zero to two years of aviation fuel maintenance experience
    • Ability to learn and perform aircraft fuel system maintenance with training
    • Basic knowledge, experience and/or training needed to perform assigned maintenance tasks
    • Mechanical experience preferred
    • Ability to follow maintenance manuals and technical instructions
    • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule
    • Ability to work in small areas and confined spaces

    Certification Requirements

    FAA certification under 14 CFR Part 65 is not required for this Class C Technician position.

    This role does not include management, supervisory or inspection authority and does not authorize the employee to sign a maintenance release approving an article for return to service.
