If you're ready to take the next step in your aerospace career, we want to hear from you!The Field Service Technician III provides on-site support at the aircraft manufacturer for aircraft seating interiors manufactured in the USA, France, and Great Britain. The Field Service Technician team provides assistance to aircraft manufacturer and airline customers during aircraft build activities related to installation issues, damaged parts, rework pickups, cosmetic defects, and customer support concerns.Rework areas include Receiving, BFE, Factory, and Flight Line for all aircraft equipped with commercial aircraft seating products. All rework performed at the aircraft manufacturer must adhere to engineering drawings, specifications, and approved rework instructions.This position works under minimal supervision and reports to the on-site manager daily. The Field Service Technician III is capable of managing complex issues, supporting Technician I and Technician II team members, and escalating concerns to the appropriate management level when needed.Main ResponsibilitiesRework and complete pickups identified by the aircraft manufacturer and/or customer during aircraft assembly.Diagnose faulty electrical and electronic components using computer software and a multimeter to determine the root cause.Adjust misaligned panels, trim pieces, harnesses, electrical components, factory installation issues, and perform various other rework tasks in an efficient manner.Create removal and installation documentation to replace parts at the aircraft manufacturer.Maintain a high level of quality workmanship at all times.May train and mentor other team members in specialized areas such as paint, avionics, or other technical disciplines.QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Associate's degree in a related technical field preferred.ExperienceMinimum of 4 years of field service experience involving troubleshooting and repairs.Aircraft interiors experience preferred.Technical SkillsAircraft passenger seating experience preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.Ability to navigate maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, product quality specifications, and installation documents to identify and resolve issues.Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, MSDS sheets, maintenance manuals, product specifications, and service bulletins.Advanced knowledge of reworking various aircraft seat classes, including electrical troubleshooting, painting, decal application/removal, and cosmetic repairs.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.Experience using actuation or diagnostic software preferred.Comfortable using smartphones and tablets daily for email, photos, and work-related applications.Valid driver's license required.Ability to obtain a passport.Professional SkillsAbility to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Follow instructions and complete assignments within required timelines.Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.Flexibility to work various shifts, after-hours, and weekends as business needs require.Ability to manage multiple assignments and customer priorities simultaneously.Willingness to travel to other aircraft manufacturing facilities and domestic or international customer locations as needed.Preferred QualificationsHands-on electrical troubleshooting experience, including testing voltage and continuity.Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement initiatives.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
