Summary:

  • Perform aircraft interior removal, installation, fabrication, and modification activities on corporate or commercial aircraft interiors under limited supervision.

  • Install and fabricate interior components including galleys, closets, lavatories, bulkheads, side ledges, doors, panels, trim, carpeting, cabinetry, and soundproofing materials in accordance with company and FAA standards.

  • Coordinate with Quality Inspection and supervision to ensure compliance with repair station procedures, FAA regulations, and quality specifications.

  • Mentor and train Interior Installation Technicians while reviewing completed work to ensure adherence to quality control standards.

  • Lead projects and support scheduling, material procurement, documentation, and coordination with other departments as required.

  • Utilize material tracking systems to manage parts demand, track discrepancies, and complete work sign-offs.

  • Support process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize cycle times.

  • Maintain compliance with safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards while operating hand and power tools in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.

Requirements:

  • Advanced experience with aircraft interior installation, fabrication, and modification processes.

  • Experience installing and removing:

    • Galleys

    • Closets

    • Lavatories

    • Bulkheads

    • Doors and panels

    • Side ledges and cabinetry

  • Experience working with aircraft interior materials including:

    • Nomex honeycomb panels

    • Fiberglass

    • Lexan

    • Acrylic materials

    • Composite structures

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.

  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and fabrication machinery.

  • Experience removing and reinstalling aircraft fasteners, nut plates, inserts, and hardware fittings.

  • Ability to mentor junior technicians and oversee assigned projects or tasks.

  • Strong computer literacy and experience using material tracking systems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders/stairs, lift up to 40 pounds, and work flexible shifts.

  • Must be fluent in English.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
