Job Description
Safran is seeking mechanically inclined technicians who enjoy hands-on problem solving. You will work directly on commercial aircraft, supporting seat installations and resolving issues during aircraft assembly and delivery. This is an opportunity to gain aerospace experience, travel, interact with major aviation customers, and build a long-term career in aviation technical support.
Objective:
The Field Service Technician II provides on-site support at the Air Framer for Safran Aerospace Seats pertaining to interiors manufactured in USA, France and Great Britain. The team of Field Service Technicians provides assistance to Air Framer / Airline customers during the build of the Aircraft specific to installation issues, damaged parts, reworking pickups, cosmetic defects and any customer relations issues we have. Rework areas include: Receiving, BFE, Factory and Flight line relating to all built Aircraft with Safran Seats product. All rework preformed at the Air Framer must adhere to Safran Seats drawings, specifications and specific rework instructions. This position will work under general supervision and reports to the OSS Manager on a daily basis. This position handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more highly complex issues to higher-level technicians.
A) Rework and stamp pickups self-identified and/or written by Air Framer and/or customer during the build of the Aircraft.
B) Replace/troubleshoot faulty electronic components and other damaged parts, adjusting misaligned panels / trim pieces, provide assistance to the Air Framer seat installation team and other miscellaneous tasks given.
C) Sustains a high quality level of workmanship at all times.
D) Responds promptly to all communication (telephone, etc.) with Air Framer personnel and customers.
E) Maintain a good rapport with Air Framer personnel and customers.
F) Follow Safran /Air Framer safety guidelines or processes established by the organization at all times.
G) Submits accurate part order requests and understands the POA / SOA process at Air Framer / Safran.
H) Responsible for driving company van and other technicians safely around Air Framer/Safran Facilities.
I) Attend Safran daily standup/tie-in meeting.
J) Adhere to Air Framer /Safran training requirements that relate to Flight line, Safety and other course overviews throughout the year.
K) Coordinate verbally with QAs, Engineers, Leads, Technicians and other key Air Framer / Safran personnel on a daily basis.
L) Performs other duties as assigned.
