Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics Analyst

Sparks Group, partnered with a nationally renowned forward-thinking government contractor seeking a Secret-Cleared Defense Logistics & Sustainment Analyst in support a high-impact defense program office focused on acquisition, modernization, and sustainment of aircraft, weapon systems, and support equipment. This role will apply advanced logistics and maintenance expertise to improve system supportability, reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle performance while partnering with government, OEM, depot, and field-level stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle logistics and sustainment analysis supporting acquisition, modernization, maintenance planning, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational availability for aircraft and weapon systems.
• Develop and evaluate logistics strategies covering maintenance, manpower, provisioning, support equipment, training, technical data, facilities, transportation, and other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements.
• Analyze sustainment challenges and project opportunities, using maintenance, failure, and supply-chain data to identify high-impact reliability and maintainability improvements and support root-cause analysis.
• Develop and manage program deliverables, including Business Case Analyses (BCAs), Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs), and logistics work packages.
• Coordinate acquisition and modernization efforts across government, OEM, depot, and field maintenance organizations, aligning schedules, funding, configuration management, technical data, provisioning, and training for fleet-wide implementation.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in defense acquisition, maintenance planning, sustainment, logistics support, supportability analysis, operational availability, resource requirements, or Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
• Experience supporting defense program offices through acquisition and sustainment milestones, including MSA, TMRR, EMD, Production, Deployment, and Operations & Sustainment (O&S).
• Strong experience with sustainment analysis and program documentation, including LCSPs, ILSPs, Technical Orders/Manuals, RCMA, SLAs, MOAs/MOUs, SOOs, SOWs, PWSs, or eSSS.
• Experience addressing complex logistics and sustainment issues, including DMSMS, RMQSI, supply-chain deficiencies, depot activation, GFE/GFP, support equipment, technical data, and aircraft/depot data management.
• Active Secret clearance and a Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with DMSMS analysis and mitigation for legacy systems undergoing modernization.
• Experience supporting depot activation, avionics testing/repair, or software development.
• Experience developing Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) strategies.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Pay Range: Salary $140,000.00 to $160,000.00
