As a full-time employee of Contour, you are eligible for the following benefits and programs:

Insurance

  • Health, vision, and dental insurance, plus short/long-term disability and voluntary life insurance (effective the first day of the month following your hire date)

401(k) Savings Plan

  • Eligibility begins the first day of the month following your hire date.
  • The Company offers a matching contribution up to 6% of your eligible compensation.

Paid Sick Leave

  • Accrual of up to 56 hours of paid sick leave per year.
  • Unused sick leave rolls over annually until your sick bank reaches 480 hours.

  • Eligible to receive vacation hours on January 1st following your hire date.

Non-Revenue/Space Available (NRSA) Travel Privileges

  • NRSA (non-revenue/space available) travel privileges on Contour upon hire and access to MyID Travel after 6 months of active service.

Compensation Details

  • The starting hourly rate for this position is between $35.00 and $44.00 based on your prior work experience.
  • When you work on a Contour observed holiday, you are eligible to receive holiday pay which is paid at 2 times your hourly rate. Specific information regarding Contour's observed holiday policy is outlined in our Employee Handbook which will be provided to you during the onboarding process should you be selected for employment.
  • When you work in excess of 40 hours within the pay period, you are eligible for overtime, which is paid at 1.5 times your hourly rate

Summary of Essential Duties

The Aircraft Maintenance On-the-Job Trainer (OJT) is responsible for delivering hands-on training and mentorship to aircraft maintenance personnel. This role ensures that trainees gain practical experience and develop the skills necessary to perform maintenance tasks in compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured on-the-job training to maintenance technicians and apprentices.
  • Supervise and guide trainees during live aircraft maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all training activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory and company standards (e.g., FAA Part 145, FAA Part 135).
  • Maintain accurate training records, including task sign-offs and progress reports.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Training Department to align OJT with classroom instruction.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to maintenance best practices.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of OJT programs and materials.
  • Stay current with aircraft systems, maintenance procedures, and regulatory changes.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in hangars, on the ramp, and occasionally in classroom settings.
  • May require shift work, weekends, and travel depending on operational needs.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain environments.
  • Must be at least 23 years of age.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (e.g., FAA A&P).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Prior experience in training, mentoring, or supervisory roles preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance documentation, and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in using maintenance tracking and training record systems
  • Must understand, read, and write English.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and the ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated and able to motivate others.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism.
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
  • Operational knowledge of laptop and desktop computers, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, or related presentation programs. Operational knowledge of Outlook is required. Competency with internet navigation is also required.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.
