Aircraft Maintenance Technician II

At Wayne-Sanderson Farms, safety is our top priority. We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician II to help maintain our corporate aircraft fleet and ensure every flight is safe, compliant, and mission-ready.
In this role, you'll use your technical expertise to perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, complete repairs, and support the ongoing reliability of our aircraft. You'll work alongside experienced aviation professionals, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and help mentor newer technicians while expanding your own technical knowledge.

What You'll Do
Aircraft Maintenance & Inspections
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft.
- Complete inspections, functional tests, repairs, and component replacements in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer requirements.
- Ensure aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and airworthiness.
- Evaluate maintenance findings and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Verify completed work meets regulatory, manufacturer, and company quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
- Diagnose and repair issues involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, engine, and avionics systems.
- Use technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify root causes and repair solutions.
- Collaborate with manufacturers, engineering resources, and other technical experts when needed.
- Escalate highly complex or specialized issues when appropriate while independently resolving most maintenance challenges.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate aircraft maintenance records, logbook entries, inspections, and repair documentation.
- Follow all FAA regulations, company procedures, and aviation safety requirements.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed and documented correctly before return to service.
Team Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide guidance and technical support to less experienced technicians.
- Share best practices and promote a culture of safety and learning.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance procedures, workflows, and efficiency.
- Participate in aircraft-specific and OEM training programs to expand your skills and knowledge.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
- Minimum of 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- Experience independently troubleshooting and repairing aircraft systems.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of:
- Aircraft engines
- Electrical systems
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Avionics systems
- FAA maintenance regulations and requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in corporate aviation, charter operations, airline maintenance, MRO environments, or a similar aviation setting.
- Aircraft-specific OEM training.
- Technical coursework or an associate degree in Aircraft Maintenance, Aviation Technology, or a related field.
- Lean, continuous improvement, or leadership training.

Work Environment
This position is based in an aviation maintenance environment, including hangars, aircraft ramps, and occasional office settings.
The role requires:
- Hands-on maintenance work
- Standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and lifting throughout the workday
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Participation in an on-call rotation that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Occasional travel as business needs require
