Are you an experienced Aircraft Mechanic (AOG) with a passion for troubleshooting and a knack for solving complex problems? Join a dynamic Mobile Service Unit (MSU) team and become a key player in keeping aircraft flying. This high-impact role is for a skilled professional who thrives on variety, is committed to safety, and excels at providing top-notch customer service.The Opportunity:As an AOG (Aircraft on Ground) Technician , you'll be the first responder for critical, on-site maintenance events. Your expertise will be put to the test as you work on a diverse fleet of business and corporate aircraft, including models from Gulfstream, Bombardier, Cessna, King Air, and Embraer . With a predictable 7-on, 7-off schedule and guaranteed hours, this position offers an excellent work-life balance and a competitive compensation package.Key Responsibilities:Swiftly deploy to AOG events and perform effective maintenance in the field.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and technical issues in compliance with FAA and OEM standards .Communicate directly with customers , providing clear updates on timelines and expectations.Accurately document all maintenance tasks within internal tracking systems.Ensure the readiness and safety of your assigned MSU vehicle, tools, and inventory.Maintain a high level of professionalism and deliver exceptional customer service on every job.Qualifications:A valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate is required.At least 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience , with recent AOG or field service experience highly preferred.Proficiency with multiple aircraft platforms, such as Gulfstream (GIV-G700), Bombardier (Challenger, Global), Cessna Citation series, King Air, or Embraer (Phenom, Legacy) .Strong troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of mechanical systems.Experience with maintenance tracking software (e.g., CAMP, Corridor, Airtable ).The ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and a customer-first mindset.Compensation and Perks:Guaranteed 80 hours per week with a consistent 7-on, 7-off schedule.Daily per diem for field assignments.A fully equipped MSU truck, company-provided tools, uniforms, and a laptop .A comprehensive benefits package, including a 401k to support your future.Why Work with Us?Total Aviation Staffing is your partner in finding the best aviation careers.
