Duties
Help
WG-10: The primary purpose is to inspect, repair, modify, and service aircraft systems, components, and assemblies, both on- and off-aircraft. Performs inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft to include periodic, phase, hourly, preflight, postflight, calendar, thru-flight, and special inspections such as fuel contamination, emergency equipment, and oil sampling. Troubleshoots and performs unscheduled maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft, utilizing various gauges, meters, measuring devices and other related test equipment. May be required to perform user and organizational level maintenance on assigned support equipment, including inspection, repair, modification, and corrosion prevention. Provides data for aircraft maintenance historical records, complete maintenance data collection, man-hour accounting, and other forms as required. Instructs, directs, and assigns maintenance repair tasks to drill status guard members. Complies with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations such as MEI, ORI, IG and UE inspections, mobility and command support exercises. Performs other duties as assigned.
WG-12: The purpose is to act as the crew chief with responsibility for directing the total maintenance effort on individually assigned aircraft. Directs, monitors or performs overall maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more aircraft. Ensures aircraft documentation and Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) accurately reflect the airworthiness of the Aircraft. Performs in-process and final inspection of aircraft and components undergoing repair, overhaul and/or modification to verify and certify by signature adherence to work techniques, procedures and quality standards established by applicable publications. Plans, develops and conducts training during the technician work week to
a multi facet workforce comprised of from 3 to 8 assigned military positions. Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations,
inspections, mobilization and command support exercises and Operations Other Than War (OOTW). Complies with safety, fire, security, environmental and housekeeping regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

Per ARNG-HRH Policy Memorandum #10-39, mandatory Full Time Staff (FTS) training is required within a year of hire as a condition of employment in vacancy announcements for both Technician and Active Guard Reserve positions. Failure of new FTS personnel to complete NGB prescribed courses at PEC within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment to other full-time positions or termination of their employment.
Current COANG Technicians and AGRs hired for a position in which an MCR is required will remain in their current status unless/until the MCR is approved. In the event the MCR is not approved, they are accepting the position in their current status.
