Aircraft Mechanic I – Helicopter (SCA Covered Position) Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic I (SCA)
Position Summary
Performs organizational and intermediate-level aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, servicing, and modifications on aircraft and related systems. Works under the guidance of senior mechanics, leads, and maintenance supervisors while ensuring compliance with FAA, OEM, military, and company maintenance procedures as applicable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
Troubleshoot mechanical discrepancies and assist in determining corrective actions.
Remove, replace, adjust, and test aircraft components.
Perform servicing operations including fueling, lubrication, tire servicing, and fluid replenishment.
Read and interpret maintenance manuals, technical orders, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Complete maintenance documentation, logbook entries, and work orders accurately.
Follow all safety procedures and quality control requirements.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and serviceable condition.
Support aircraft launches, recoveries, and ground operations as required
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read and understand aircraft maintenance manuals and technical data.
Basic aircraft maintenance knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Tools not required.
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances if applicable.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
1 to 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
Experience on civil and military helicopters, specifically Sikorsky S-92.
Completions experience is a plus!
Familiarity with electronic maintenance tracking systems.
Experience working under FAA, DoD, or contractor maintenance programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring tools, and test equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel as required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in hangar and flight-line environments
