    PRIMARY FUNCTION

    Aircraft Mechanic III will be responsible for performing advanced inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of multiple aircraft systems, with a specialty focus on system(s) to include EGRESS, Rigging, Electronics and Environmental, Avionics, Hydraulics, and other applicable systems. The Aircraft Mechanic III will perform Detailed inspections of airframe, powerplant, and systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and electrical systems to diagnoses Supports both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensures full compliance with technical data and safety requirements, and contributes to aircraft readiness in a high-tempo operational or depot environment.

    Essential Duties

    • Inspects and tests hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems for leaks, blockages, or malfunctions.
    • Diagnoses electrical and avionics faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and schematic diagrams.
    • Performs preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on integrated systems.
    • Repairs and services aircraft and engine systems.
    • Conducts diagnosis of malfunctions. Performs maintenance, disassembly, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
    • Coordinates with other trades (e.g., avionics, structural, etc.,) for complex repairs. 

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This position has the responsibility and authority necessary to carry out assigned tasks.

    Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • 5+ years of depot level maintenance experience with specific system
    • Highly skilled in depot level processes and procedures for replacement of major structural components.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, technical documentation, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to management.
    • Highly knowledgeable of fixed wing aircraft construction features, identification and characteristics of aerospace materials to include proper use, mixing, and storage of acids, solvents, alcohol, caustics, primers, and paints, and proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste and materials.
    • Extensive knowledge in fabrication and depot repair / replacement of metal components, tubing, cable, plastic, fiberglass, bonded honeycomb, and composite structural components.
    • Intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.
    • Must be able to utilize respirator, forced air, or other breathing equipment during the performance of assigned duties.
    • Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff. Will also routinely interact with other crew members.
    • Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
    • Ability to use general office equipment such as fax, phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
    • Ability to follow processes.
    • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
    • Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista goals.
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
    • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
    • Ability to multi-task.
    • Other strongly preferred knowledge, skills & abilities depending on specific system(s) and/or subsystem(s).
    • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and/or Powerplant certification a plus

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • 10 years’ relevant aircraft structural maintenance experience with fixed / rotary wing commercial, Government or DOD aircraft.
    • Previous Air Force Specialty Code 2A773 highly desirable.
    • Experience supporting DoD contracts.
    • Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within depot level maintenance.
