Position – Aircraft Painter

Location: Mobile, AL

We are seeking experienced Aircraft Painters to support commercial aircraft painting and finishing operations in Mobile, AL.

This position requires strong hands-on experience with aircraft surface preparation, sealant application, and the complete painting process from preparation through final coat and clear coat. Experience in an aircraft production or final assembly environment is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, and related preparation processes
• Perform sealant application and associated surface preparation
• Apply primers, base coats, topcoats, and clear coats
• Complete aircraft painting work from initial preparation through final finish
• Perform etching and other required surface-treatment processes
• Apply decals, logos, markings, and design elements as required
• Inspect painted surfaces and correct finish or coating discrepancies
• Operate applicable painting and surface-preparation tools and equipment
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
• Follow established quality and safety procedures throughout the painting process

Summary of Education, Experience and Certification

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Experienced aircraft painter with approximately 5 years or more of relevant experience preferred
• Demonstrated aircraft sealant application experience required
• Commercial aircraft painting experience strongly preferred
• Aircraft production or final assembly line experience preferred
• Relevant aircraft painting training or qualifications preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of aircraft surface preparation and painting processes
• Ability to perform sealant application and associated preparation work
• Experience completing paint work from surface preparation through final coat and clear coat
• Experience with aircraft spray equipment and related painting tools
• Knowledge of etching, masking, decals, logos, and finish application
• Ability to work from manlifts, scissor lifts, and other applicable access equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Flexibility to work day, evening, or night shift as required

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The employee will work in aircraft production, hangar, and paint environments and may be exposed to paint products, chemicals, noise, and equipment associated with aircraft finishing.

The position requires extended standing, bending, reaching, climbing, and working from elevated access equipment as needed.
