ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Aircraft Records & Maintenance Planning Supervisor reports to the Director of Maintenance and is responsible to maintain an adequate and accurate records system of maintenance and inspection work performed on aircraft operated by Aero. This position is also responsible for data entry processes that provide information to the Maintenance Division for the purpose of maintenance planning, various reports, and trend monitoring. This position performs those duties in accordance with the company's Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP), General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and other essential manuals.
$75,000 - $75,000 a year
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the review of technical records and logistical functions in pre- and post-review of aircraft and engine acquisition
Perform physical aircraft and engine surveys and records evaluations in support of due diligence efforts in maintaining regulatory compliance for the company's aircraft records as required by 14 CFR 135 and other regulatory agency requirements
Assist the VP Maintenance/DOM and Chief Inspector in ensuring conformity of acquired aircraft and engines.
Coordinate aircraft needs and status information with the VP Maintenance/DOM during aircraft preparation for lease, purchase, or sale.
Perform audit of aircraft records regularly to ensure compliance with aircraft times and cycles
Interface and monitor contract DER's, manufacturers, and vendor engineering personnel in the preparation of FAA acceptable engineering and technical data
Manage and review the auditing of Life Limited Part Summaries, Airworthiness Directives and applicable technical and operational documentation for Company aircraft, engines, and appliances
Responsibility for evaluating newly released Federal Aviation Administration Airworthiness Directives / OEM Service Bulletins and their impact on Company aircraft, engines, and appliances
Provide support to internal and external customers in answering technical questions, researching / obtaining technical data and supplying it to those customers
Assist the Director of Maintenance in forecasting and schedule aircraft maintenance, materials, and manpower for FAA Part 135 Maintenance Department.
Build, monitor, audit, and close work order packages in a timely manner. Supervise progress of work orders with Repair Station aircraft supervisors.
Coordinate with the inventory control personnel (DOM and Chief Inspector) to ensure parts availability for planned maintenance and procure parts in an expeditious manner for unplanned maintenance
Maintain current and accurate aircraft maintenance status in company maintenance databases (Flightdocs)
Place maintenance blocks in the Company's scheduling system for planned maintenance events
Other duties as assigned by the VP Maintenance/DOM
REQUIREMENTS
Proficient with Microsoft Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and able to learn operating systems the company utilizes
Proficient with Maintenance Tracking Programs such as CAMPS, FlightDocs, CMP, etc.
High school diploma/GED (Associates degree or higher preferred)
Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines, company Op Specs, GMM and those portions of manuals relevant to maintenance, and company policies and procedures.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties
Must be able to work and interact with other mechanics, supervisors, other personnel in a professional manner.
Must have positive attitude towards productivity, quality of work and safe
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written
Must be physically capable to execute the duties of this position including: Bending, squatting, kneeling, sitting and standing for extended periods of time.
Frequent usage of hands, wrists, shoulders and back is necessary.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
