JOB TITLE: Aircraft Structures Sealant Mechanic

LOCATION: Kinston, NC

PAY RATE: $34.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier aerospace and defense company.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Perform assembly and installation work on aerospace structural parts and sub-assemblies

  • Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and work instructions

  • Use hand tools, power tools, drills, sealers, and precision measuring instruments

  • Perform drilling, sealing, countersinking, painting, varnishing, and fastener installation

  • Complete quality inspections, continuity checks, and basic functional testing

  • Support rework, repairs, and modification work as needed

  • Move materials, tools, and parts within the manufacturing area

  • Report production or tooling issues and document discrepancies

  • Perform basic machine maintenance and support production workflow

  • Assist and support team members when required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience with structural assembly and sub-assembly operations preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment

  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

  • Ability to work in a production/manufacturing environment

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR regulations)
