Position – Aircraft Structures Technician II
Location: Gilbert, AZ

We are currently seeking Aircraft Structures Technician II candidates to support aircraft structural repair and maintenance operations in Gilbert, AZ. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined candidates with structural repair, sheet metal, fabrication, or aviation maintenance experience looking to grow within a fast-paced MRO environment.

Summary

The Aircraft Structures Technician II performs intermediate-level structural repairs, inspections, and modifications with minimal supervision. This role requires a solid understanding of approved repair methods, tooling, technical documentation, and aviation structural maintenance procedures while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform structural repairs, disassembly, and reassembly of aircraft components in accordance with approved technical data
  • Conduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections to identify cracks, corrosion, deformation, and structural discrepancies
  • Interpret and follow OEM technical data including CMMs, SRMs, engineering drawings, and specifications
  • Perform sheet metal repairs including drilling, deburring, riveting, and minor fabrication with limited supervision
  • Remove and install structural components, hardware, and fasteners following approved procedures
  • Accurately document maintenance and repair activities using company systems and regulatory forms
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and safety standards
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
  • Assist with troubleshooting structural issues and determining repair methods
  • Support and mentor Technician I employees as needed
  • Participate in continuous training and technical development
  • Other duties as assigned

Summary of Education, Experience & Certification

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical school or mechanical/metalwork experience preferred
  • No aviation experience required — training provided
  • Candidates must meet U.S. Person requirements due to export control regulations
  • Position is safety-sensitive and subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing
  • Previous aviation, sheet metal, fabrication, automotive, manufacturing, or structural repair experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of structural repair techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, drawings, and engineering documentation
  • Experience using sheet metal tools, equipment, and inspection methods preferred
  • Ability to perform intermediate-level inspections and repairs independently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and within fast-paced environments
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office or related documentation systems
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while working independently
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, lift, and perform physical maintenance tasks throughout the shift
