Role Overview

Sodexo Live's Airport Lounge Segment has an exciting opening for the private Korean Airlines Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport LAX in Los Angeles, CA.  We are seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead the Food and Beverage operations within this private club/lounge. A manager who can speak Korean is preferred for this role.

 

The lounges are dedicated spaces for elite passengers to relax, rejuvenate, enjoy food from the buffet and/self-service beverage program.  We are seeking a hospitality-minded Manager to be part of creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.  The Manager will be responsible for ensuring excellent front of house guest services for our upscale lounge.  The ideal candidate for this role will be seasoned hospitality professional with a food and beverage management background within airports, hotels, restaurants or similar high-end venue.  

What You'll Do

  • Have oversight of daily food operations and deliver excellent guest service. 
  • Help achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
  • Develop and maintain client and guest customer relationships.
  • Motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline employees. 
  • Ensure Sodexo standards & compliance.

What You Bring

  • have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization;
  • 2-3 years experience as a manager with a recognized concept or company;
  • Korean language strongly preferred;
  • Must be able to pass a TSA background check;
  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;
  • exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
  • demonstrate working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs;
  • has experience in financials, preparation and oversight.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 years Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
