The Airport Business and Communications Manager is responsible for managing Eugene Airport's non-aeronautical business activities, external relations, and communication support functions. This position focuses on General Aviation (GA) relations, marketing coordination, social media oversight, public information support, and commercial program coordination. The role serves as a key liaison between the airport, its tenants, users, media, and the broader community, ensuring consistent messaging, strong stakeholder relationships, and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, an understanding of airport operations and tenant environments, and the ability to represent the airport effectively to diverse audiences.
Classification: Senior Management Analyst
Salary Range: $44.83 - $60.52 / hourly; $93,246.40 - $125,881.60 / annually
A 2.7% COLA increase is effective 7/1/2026.

A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Four and a half (4 ½) years of progressively responsible experience in airport administration, business management, communications, marketing, or tenant relations.
Training:
Bachelor's degree in business, aviation management, communications, public administration, or a closely related field. Masters degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an airport, aviation, or public agency environment.
Familiarity with General Aviation operations and tenant environments.
Public communications / PIO experience.
Experience with social media management for a public-facing organization.
Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) or Certified Member (C.M.) certification. Ability to obtain C.M. certification within 1 year of hire date.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common digital communication platforms.

Salary and Benefits
The normal starting salary is the first step shown on the posting. Other placement in the salary range may be considered depending on qualifications and experience. Periodic advancement through the salary range is dependent upon merit.
