GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Ensures effective operations and information technology (IT) infrastructure throughout all life-cycle phases to meet the business needs of the Airport. Plans, organizes and directs the operations and activities of the Airport’s Information Technology Department; performs directly related work as required.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The principal function of an employee in this class is to provide administrative oversight and strategic direction to all operations and activities of the Airport’s Information Technology Department. The work is performed under the direction of the Deputy Aviation Director but extensive leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative. Supervision is exercised over the work of all employees within the Airport’s Information Technology Department. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with other Airport business units, tenants, business partners, local, state and federal officials, outside vendors, and members of the public. The principal duties of this class are performed in a general office environment.
