Airport Civil Engineer

Our client is seeking an Airport Civil Engineer to join the widely respected and diverse Aviation Division in the Greenville, SC office location.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
Engineering Intern (E.I) Certification preferred.
0-3 years of progressive airport or civil infrastructure design experience.
AutoCAD Civil 3D design/drafting experience preferred.
Familiarity with FAA/AIP funding for airport planning and development preferred.
FAA/DOT design requirements, specifications, and understanding of airport operations preferred.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to, developing airfield project plans, grading and drainage design, pavement design, utilities, stormwater design, quantities, specifications, and contract documents for airport improvement projects at general aviation and commercial service airports throughout the Northeast. The Airport Civil Engineer will work under close supervision; receive specific detailed instructions as to required tasks and results expected. Performs a variety of routine tasks, which should provide experience and familiarization with the engineering staff methods, practices, and programs of the company. Will also be responsible for performing seasonal construction observation at general aviation and commercial service airports throughout the Northeast. Tracks and monitors construction progress usings standard forms.

This position will require some fieldwork travel.
