The Airport Facilities Supervisor position supervises and directs airport facilities staff in the upkeep and maintenance of all airport landside facilities including the terminal building, parking structures, parking lots, roadways, and associated systems and equipment.

$1,500 Sign-On Bonus and up to $2500 relocation reimbursement offered to qualified external candidates!

Requirements:

  • Considerable experience as a lead, foreman, or in a supervisory role in large, commercial building or industrial complex with extensive understanding of the maintenance, operation, and repair required to support the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment or any relevant equivalent combination of experience and training

  • Knowledge and experience with compliance to OSHA safety requirements and procedures

  • Ability to plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate the work of subordinates

  • This position requires the incumbent obtain and maintain an Airport SIDA badge as well as pass the necessary federal background checks in accordance with 49 CFR Part 1542 and a driving check.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Maine State Class C driver"s license.

Duties include:

  • Project prioritizing, scheduling, inspecting, teaching, leading, and overseeing a team of Airport Facilities staff;

  • Inspecting and coordinating all landside maintenance within the Airport facilities in cooperation with the Jetport"s Operations Center, airport maintenance team, airlines, and the supplier/contractors as required. Including but not limited to: baggage handling systems, passenger boarding bridges, automated fire shutters and doors, elevators, emergency generators, lighting systems, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, energy management systems, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, security system, computer-based information systems, PA system, and all other associated landside buildings systems and equipment.

  • Use of industry standard technology to assist in the ticketing, accountability of work performance, and continuing education.

  • A successful Facilities Supervisor is a supportive, team-oriented individual who is capable of performing tasks as a leader, a group member, and autonomously.

Expected Hours/Schedule:

This is a full time, second shift position, working a Friday-Monday, 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM schedule of four 10 hour days, plus scheduled on-call shifts as needed.

Salary and Benefits:

This position is an AFSCME Supervisors union position, Grade 29M, with a starting pay range of $33.86/hour-$37.48/hour, depending on experience, plus weekend and 2nd shift pay differentials. This position is eligible for overtime.
