Job Specifications

Join our airport team and play an important role in supporting a safe, secure, and well-operated aviation facility. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to service contribute to the experience of travelers, employees, and the aviation community.

What Youll Do:

  • Monitor the airport, conduct inspections and patrols, and identify potential safety, security, or operational concerns.
  • Respond to emergencies and other calls for assistance, working with airport staff and emergency response agencies as needed.
  • Help maintain a safe airport environment by addressing unsafe conditions, security concerns, and wildlife hazards.
  • Enforce airport rules and regulations, including parking and ground transportation requirements, and issue warnings or citations when appropriate.
  • Provide helpful and professional customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and assisting travelers, employees, and visitors.
  • Participate in training, emergency preparedness activities, and other efforts that support safe and efficient airport operations.

Minimum Training & Experience

  • Associates degree in aviation management, business or public administration, communications, criminal justice, or a related field; AND
  • One (1) year of experience in aviation, law enforcement, firefighting, emergency management or communications, military service, or a related field;

OR

  • High School Diploma or GED; AND
  • Three (3) years of experience in aviation, law enforcement, firefighting, emergency management or communications, military service, or a related field

Necessary Special Requirements

  • Valid Class E State drivers license (or equivalent) at the time of hire
  • In accordance with 49 CFR Part 1542, employees must successfully complete a fingerprint-based criminal history records check and personal background check prior to employment.

Salary Range

$16.1262 to $43.7596/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $25.1539/hour.

Additional Information

This position operates on a 10-hour shift schedule, with anticipated work hours of 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Shifts rotate monthly between two patterns: Thursday-Sunday and Monday-Thursday. The schedule may also be adjusted based on operational and organizational needs, including required overtime.
