$1,500 sign-on bonus available to an external candidate and up to $2,500 relocation offered.

Portland International Jetport is currently seeking a highly effective, experienced Airport Operations Supervisor to help lead the charge of the Airport Operations Department. The successful incumbent will have demonstrated leadership, project management experience, and problem solving skills in addition to exceptional people skills and the ability to work as part of a dedicated team. Must be capable of leading diverse programs and initiatives while conceiving and achieving the many goals that will make the department an industry top performer. This position supervises a group of Airport Operations Duty Officers and/or Airport Operations Coordinators and is key to ensuring that the Jetport's core values of Safety, Service, Teamwork, and Trust are woven into the daily operations of our team.

Qualifications:

  • Successful candidates will possess strong leadership experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional experience coach and training, with clear expertise in the multifaceted nature of operating a Part 139 airport.

  • Understanding and/or development of technical, complex curriculums and diverse training experiences are highly desired.

  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience proactively developing and implementing auditing practices, using benchmarking and data to determine, track, and demonstrate successes

  • Ability to proactively resolve operational issues as well as assist coworkers and mentor team members on best practices and compliance.

  • This position participates in the hiring process and is responsible for shift scheduling, performance management, and the day-to-day supervision of Airport Operations Duty Officers or Operations Coordinators.

  • This position requires the ability and willingness to work a nontraditional schedule that may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • This position also requires the ability for the incumbent to obtain a SIDA badge and pass the necessary federal background checks in accordance with 49 CFR Part 1542 and pass a driving check.

  • Must be able to possess and maintain a valid driver"s license.

Expected Hours/Schedule:

Airport Operations Supervisors work rotating 10 hour shifts/4 days a week, and are required to be available for holidays and on-call shifts and are subject to mandatory overtime call-ins as the Jetport is a 24/7/365 operation.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a full-time, 40 hour/week union position, Pro-Tech Grade MA-8, with a starting pay range of $34.38-$43.54/hour, based on relevant years of experience. This position is eligible for OT and shift differentials.
