Summary:
Support investigations for FAA-related issues, including Letters of Investigation, Compliance Actions, Voluntary Disclosures, and Airworthiness Non-Compliances
Collaborate with engineering teams (Systems, Structures, Payloads, Propulsion) to define problems and support root cause analysis (RCCA)
Assist in developing containment, corrective, and preventive actions, including verification of non-recurrence
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, leadership, suppliers, and Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA)
Track and communicate investigation status and outcomes to cross-functional teams
Contribute to continuous improvement of compliance processes and tools
Support cross-functional project execution and ensure timely completion of tasks
Requirements:
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage assigned work independently
Must meet Export Control requirements (U.S. Person status required)
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools (e.g., 5-Whys, Fishbone, BPSM)
Knowledge of FAA regulatory compliance and ODA procedures (8100.15)
Experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies
Background in commercial aircraft systems or systems integration (e.g., Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels)
Familiarity with aircraft certification and safety requirements
Pilot's License and/or A&P License
