Akamai Engineer

Presidio is seeking an Akamai Engineer (Automation & Edge Platform) to join our team in Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Malvern, PA. This is a hybrid position requiring three days on-site per week.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• 3–5+ years of experience in network engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering
• Experience with:
• Scripting or programming (Python, Terraform, or similar) CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• API-based automation
• Hands-on experience with CDN, edge, or application delivery platforms (Akamai preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

• Akamai Property Manager, Edge DNS, or security services (WAF, DDoS, Bot Management)
• Policy-driven automation (e.g., validation checks, guardrails)
• DNS and certificate lifecycle management
• Familiarity with Agile delivery models and enterprise change management processes
