Internship Overview:
As a summer intern with the Alabama Farmers Federation, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of agricultural advocacy, community outreach, and organizational operations. This internship is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the agricultural sector, allowing interns to develop skills that are invaluable for future careers in agriculture, communications, policy, and more.
Responsibilities
Our primary requirement for an intern is writing. Interns are expected to generate articles for Neighbors magazine, Simply Southern TV or other channels within the organization. Our intern must be a team player who is willing to tackle or contribute to any assignment. There is very little downtime for our interns, but good ones leave with a professional portfolio of work to show future employers.
Qualifications
- Rising Junior or Senior
- Pursuing a degree in communications or related field - ag background a plus
- Proficiency in Writing, AP Style, Adobe Photoshop and related Creative Suite programs.
- Photography and videography skills
