The ideal candidate will proactively cultivate new business opportunities through networking, community engagement, referrals, and strategic business-to-business outreach. Success in this position comes from developing long-term customer relationships, understanding each client's unique operational needs, and delivering tailored transportation solutions that support their business goals.

As the primary point of contact for commercial accounts, you will guide customers through the entire sales cycle—from prospecting and consultation to delivery and ongoing account support. You will foster lasting partnerships by providing exceptional service, maintaining regular communication, and ensuring a seamless ownership experience. This role requires a consultative sales approach, strong relationship management skills, and a commitment to creating value for every customer interaction.

What You'll Do:

Develop and grow business relationships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with commercial clients, local businesses, municipalities, and fleet customers by understanding their operational needs and providing tailored vehicle solutions.

Drive business development: Identify and cultivate new commercial opportunities through networking, community involvement, referrals, strategic outreach, and relationship-based prospecting efforts.

Manage customer accounts: Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial customers, delivering exceptional service, maintaining ongoing communication, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the customer lifecycle.

Provide consultative solutions: Work closely with clients to recommend vehicles, fleet strategies, upfitting options, and custom configurations that align with their business objectives and operational requirements.

Strengthen long-term partnerships: Foster customer loyalty through proactive follow-up, issue resolution, and ongoing support, creating lasting relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.

Support department growth: Manage sales opportunities, maintain an active pipeline of commercial accounts, and contribute to the continued expansion and success of the fleet department through strategic account development and customer retention.

What You Bring:

Relationship-building experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial sales, business development, account management, or a related customer-facing role.

Business-to-business expertise: A proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships, identify customer needs, and deliver solutions that create long-term value for both the customer and the organization.

Growth-oriented mindset: A self-motivated professional with an entrepreneurial approach to building a book of business, expanding market presence, and uncovering new opportunities for growth.

Communication and networking skills: Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to connect with business owners, decision-makers, and community partners. Proficiency with CRM systems, social media, and digital networking platforms is preferred.

Customer-focused approach: A commitment to providing exceptional service, earning customer trust, and serving as a reliable resource throughout the life of the business relationship.

Strategic thinker: Ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, and profitability while developing customized fleet and commercial vehicle solutions.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive compensation: Base salary plus performance-based incentives, with earning potential of $100,000+ annually based on account growth, customer retention, and business development success.

Comprehensive benefits package: Health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other company-sponsored benefits.

Professional development: Opportunities for ongoing training, leadership development, and career advancement within a respected and growing dealership organization.
