Alarm Service Technicians troubleshoot, repair, perform preventative maintenance (and occasionally install alarm systems). <\/span><\/span>Alarm Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on alarm product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers' product lines.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Essential Functions<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

<\/span><\/span><\/p>

• Work with low-voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of alarm, security and access control equipment.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via laptop computer.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• Provide technical training to less senior inspectors and trainees.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• Complete assigned inspections on time.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• Perform other duties as assigned.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Desired Qualification Requirements<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

<\/span><\/span><\/p>

• Bilingual (English & Spanish) Strongly preferred<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>

• Valid Driver's License.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>

• Ability to pass drug screen and reference check.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/li>

• Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• NICET II certification preferred, NICET I required.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• 2+ years of documented service experience in fire alarm service/inspection.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/li>

• Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Demonstrate a high level of customer service.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Ability to work well with others.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

• Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Physical Requirements<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>

You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least <\/span><\/span>50 pounds<\/span><\/span><\/span> and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>You must also be able to <\/span><\/span><\/span>bend, stretch, crouch, and lift<\/span><\/span><\/span> as required by the job<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, be able to respond quickly to sounds, move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, see and respond to dangerous situations, safely climb ladders while carrying tools/items, work in extreme weather, and properly wear personal protective gear.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
